Guides high school students through a four year commitment that enhance leadership, academic, social and life skills, culminating into a four-year college scholarship at Western Michigan University.
Sojourner Truth Girls Academy
Structured to provide elementary-aged females the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to reach their highest potential and become healthy, productive, self sufficient adults. The program directly confronts youth social issues such as substance abuse, school failure, health & hygiene, adolescent pregnancy, racial equality and inadequate career preparation.
Restoration
Designed specifically for disadvantaged males to build leadership skills, teach personal responsibility and community accountability.
Youth Leadership Camp
summer program for youth in grades 6th–12th designed to promote leadership
acumen, academic excellence, volunteerism/community service, cultural enrichment and healthy lifestyles.
Focus Academy
an alternative setting for adjudicated youth and other students who as a result of bad choices, are no longer allowed in the public school setting or had dropped out of school. Students are taught academics necessary to pass to the next grade level (middle school students) or obtain a high school diploma (high school students). Students engage in two delivery methods; teacher led/taught and on-line coursework.
GED Preparation Program – Coming Soon!
Assists vulnerable youth and young adults in preparing to take any or all five tests necessary to earn a GED (General Education Diploma) credential. The tests consists of a group of five subject tests which, when passed, certify that the taker has American or Canadian high school-level academic skills.
Parental Advocacy Circle – Coming Soon!
Designed for parents of vulnerable and disadvantaged youth to learn proven and effective ways to advocate for their child(ren) education. They will be given tools which will help them to effectively support their child(ren).
